Session Description

One of the ways to foster inclusion and belonging in your workplace is through equal pay. We will explore the effects of the gender pay gap and what you can do to change it personally and as an employer.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn about the pay gap in KS and its effects.
  2. Hear the negotiation tips being shared with individuals going through salary negotiation training.
  3. Learn how you can help to close the pay gap.

 


Kara Hunt, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Kara Hunt is a Community Volunteer with Equal Pay ICT where she strives to close the gender pay gap by empowering individuals and employers with skills, information and tools. She is active in the community in many others ways and is passionate about helping others succeed, human resources and business.

 

Kim Doze Lohmann

Kim Doze-Lohmann is the Director of Marketing at Martin Pringle Law Firm (Wichita, Overland Park, Kansas City & El Dorado), managing the regional marketing and public relations efforts for the firm’s 40 attorneys and three offices Firm (Wichita, Overland Park, Kansas City & El Dorado). Kim graduated from Wichita State University, is a JLW sustainer, and vows to do her part to close the gender pay gap in Kansas.
