Session Description

The challenges facing employers continue to evolve and present different legal issues. Join us for a lively (and perhaps competitive?) discussion of the hottest—and most perplexing—issues in employment law. Topics will be determined close to the event but may include return to the work and remote work, , workplace safety issues and standards, the “Bermuda Triangle” of ADA/FMLA/workers’ compensation, whistleblowing, and risk management/best practices. There will be prizes!

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to respond to inquiries which may be made by employees regarding “hot” employment law topics
  • Provide better first level advice on day to day human resources issues
  • Recognize when questions can be answered immediately and when counsel should be obtained either in house or from outside attorneys
  • Provide information on difficult to answer questions in a fun, interactive format

Karen Glickstein

Karen R. Glickstein is a principal and the office litigation manager of the Overland Park, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. For more than 25 years she has represented employers in discrimination, harassment and retaliation litigation ranging from single plaintiff cases to defense of EEOC class action matters.
